Open captains meeting will be at 8:30am with games starting at 9am. I will be collecting rosters, waivers, tourney fee and whatever else starting at 8am. I want to have everything collected by the captains meeting, so make sure someone gets to the fields early enough to get everything taken care of.
Tourney fee is $95. If you need to write a check, make it out to "Leadbelly".
If you would like to check out the facilities that we will be playing at, check out the Fred Beekman Park webpage.

Women's captains meeting will be at 9:30am. Tourney fee is $75.

OSU could not come through on the hotels, so you all are on your own to get them. The pool and bracket format is up on the UPA score reporting page. The final seedings will probably be settled next week after any tournaments this weekend.
As most of you know, I am waiting for OSU to get back to me about tournament fee. It will be posted here as soon as I know.

The fields that we will be using are the Fred Beekman Park fields. They are located on the corner of Kenny Avenue and Lane Avenue. OSU is currently working on getting discounted hotels for the tournament, I will let you all know about these as soon as I know, or feel free to get your own rooms.

Our section keeps on growing. As of now, I have 21 teams interested in playing at sectionals. This is great, it is up 7 teams from the 14 we had last year.
Well your rosters were due last friday. Let me know if you got it in. If you have not... you will be having to pay a $25 late fee. Please get it in soon.

Ohio State obtained "the best that we have at school" fields to host sectionals on. Let's get pumped to battle it out in Columbus.

Time for rosters to be taken care of. Here are two sites to answer all questions regarding getting this task done:

Regionals has been announced!! It will be the weekend of May 8th and 9th in Michigan at some awesome polo fields just north of Ann Arbor. I am sure there will be more information to come in the near future.
I hope to be able to let you all know when and where sectionals is going to be very soon.
Be sure that you all are working on your rosters.

The UPA College page has been updated with a series guidelines page with information about rostering, bids and such. Rosters will be due into UPA headquarters by March 26th (in their hands, not postmarked by this date). As I have stated before we are attempting to get 100% of all teams in attendance at sectionals to get their rosters in on time. Let me make this clear: The more teams that get their rosters in on time = More BIDS for teams in our section to attend regionals. If you think that your team has a chance to advance to regionals, it would be B.S. for your team not to get their roster in on time. On the other side if you don't think that your team has a chance to make it to regionals; by your team getting their roster in on time, that increases the chance our section will have more bids and possibly your team really could advance.

I updated the contacts page. As teams confirm that they will be attending sectionals, I will post it on there as well. When it gets around time for rosters to get in, I will also post those teams who get their's in.

There are a few things that need to get done soon; set a date, location, confirmation of teams, start rosters and what not. I have updated the contacts you might want to check over them.

If you and your team are new to this whole college ultimate series thing, check out the UPA college page where they cover about any information that you could need. If you still have further questions direct them my way.

First I would like for everyone to give me an idea if their team is going to make it to sectionals. Secondly, we need to decide on a date, our options are April 10-11, 17-18, 24-25. I would like to shy away from 10-11 due to that being Easter weekend. Tricely, we need to get a location. Berea, in Kentucky has offered to host. I would like to offer the privilege to the rest of the schools as well.

So with all of that, get some emails back to me, and again, if you have any questions, just ask.

One more thing, I would like to get 100% of the teams in attendance at sectionals with their rosters in on time. This is not a hard thing to do, just start working on it now by getting the your players UPA memberships renewed. I will be letting you all know when the deadline will be, so don't worry.
