Quarters:

Run over Cuyahoga 12-11

    - It was 11-8 in favor of Run at the time cap. Sheet Metal runs up 3 to

make it 11s, but can't get the last turnover as Run finishes it with mac'd

score in the endzone.

Mad Cow over Union Crew

    -Close game with Mad Cow finishing the game with a greatest for the

score. I heard some guy named bandsaw pulled off the last firework.

Steelhead (BAT) over Squirrel Nuts

Burn over Slipped Disc

Semis:

Steelhead over Run

Burn over Mad Cow

Finals:

Steelhead over Burn 16-14

Killer final game. Steelhead up 8-5 at half with Burn getting beat deep

several times. Burn fights back

strong late in the second half to tie at 14 (?). Great D by Burn to get the

game back within reach at the end. Both teams used a lot of quick short

throws in the middle of the field, lots of hammers keeping the crowd happy.

The final score was on a huge stall 9 hammer to the back corner.

Women's Division Writeup (by Rima Viliamas)

Six womens teams came ready to play through some hot humid Cleveland

air this weekend.  The format of the tournament was round robin with

all the teams with four rounds saturday and the last round sunday.

After that some very interesting bracket play.

After round robin 2 the seeds were

1) De Clawed,  pittsburgh (aka pounce) (4-1)

2) Clutch, ann arbor (4-1)

3) Deep Dish, chicago (3-2)

4) WhoDat?! , cleveland (2-3)

5) Stark Naked, canton (2-3)

6) LEVEL, cinci/columbus (0-5)

ties were settled by overall point differential.

all the teams were in the bracket with clutch and decalwed receiving

first round byes.

quarters:

LEVEL over Deep Dish (12-11)

After losing to Deep Dish in pool play 12-6, LEVEL played tough and

perservered beating Dish in the second game of the double header.

Also winning their first game of the weekend.

Stark over WhoDat?! (13-6)

Yet another upset, and another reversal of the pool play results.

After beating Stark Naked, in pool play on saturday, Who Dat, had

trouble beating this tenacious team of savage seven,

semis:

Clutch over LEVEL (?)

the only rematch of the weekend where the same team won twice.

DeClawed over Stark (15-11)

Another rematch of the same teams in the same day.  DeClawed had a

rough start to sunday  losing to Stark, but proved they should not

have lost the first game by winning the semis.

FINALS:

Clutch over DeClawed (15 - 8(?) )

Clutch hungry for the tournament victory and came out strong. 

DeClawed beat Clutch in pool play, could not repeat it in the finals.

The competion at this tournament was really great. It is exciting to

see this level of competition early on in, here in the midwest.
