Fall League 2011

REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED (ENDED 8/31) - IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL ON 9/1 STATING YOU ARE IN THE LEAGUE, THEN YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED

The Third Annual CDA Fall league will be starting in a few weeks. The league runs September 4 through October 30 at the Mayfield Fields at Progressive Insurance. 300 North Commons Boulevard, Mayfield, OH 44143.

The league is on sundays from 10am to noon.

The league cost is $25 for men and $20 for women. You will get a dri-fit jersey, 8 weeks of league play.

Also, one week will include a hat tournament between all fall league participants as well as the Akron and Canton frisbee leagues. (the details on this are still being worked out).

You can register below. You must first register with the site (if you haven't already done so).

You can baggage with one person. You will need to fill out the "baggage" player and rate your "skills" in the future, but for now, just register and pay.

Space is limited, and signups will close on August 31st. You are not registered until you pay, so sign up and pay right away.

Ashland University Ultimate Frisbee League

New for this fall, the Ashland University Department of Recreational Services will be providing an adult outdoor Ultimate Frisbee league. This semi-competitive Ultimate Frisbee league will give community members the opportunity to play Ultimate Frisbee against other community members, get fit, and have fun. Community members are encouraged to form a team, or may sign up as a free agent*.

Ages: 17 and Older

Division: Open

Price: $150per team (16 team max)

Dates: September 11 – October 30; Registration Deadline – Friday, September 2

Days/Times: Games will be played Saturday mornings, from 8am-12pm. The league will be eight weeks of play with teams playing once a week. The season will conclude with the last week consisting of a playoff component.

Location: Ashland University Recreation Center; IM Field

Additional Information: There will be a coaches meeting to establish rules, roster limitations, schedules, and other important information prior to the first game of play. Meeting TBD.

*Free Agents are not guaranteed placement on a team roster.

This year, the Cleveland Disc Association is pleased to offer THREE separate leagues on THREE different nights! There will be two draft leagues, competitive and recreational, and the ever-popular clique league. Play in just 1 league or all 3, it’s up to you!

Clique League: $50/player
Draft Leagues: $45-male, $35-female

First time female: $15 off
First time male $10 off
Participate in both draft leagues $10 off

Clique League-Tuesdays @ North Olmstead
Do you just want to play ultimate with your friends? Then sign up a team for clique league! Captains submit a roster, and the top 8 teams will get to battle it out for 10 weeks. Gender ratio will be 5:2/4:3 offense dictates. See the summer league website for more info on roster deadlines, etc.

Competitive Draft League-Wednesdays @ Hawken & Mayfield This league is for those who want fierce competition against club-level players. If you play in college or club, want to increase your level of play, or just want to play against “those guys who take this sport too seriously” you should play in this league! Gender ratio will be 5:2/4:3 offense dictates. There will be an end of the season tournament on August 13th at the Cleveland Polo Fields.

Recreational Draft League-Thursdays @ University School (in Shaker) Are you just here to have fun? New to the sport? Do you think “those guys who take this sport too seriously” are a little too intense? Then this is the league for you! The aim for this league is to have competition while still having a laid back and fun experience. The gender ratio of this league will be dictated by the number of women that sign up. There will be an end of the season tournament on August 13th at the Cleveland Polo Fields. The top two teams from the recreational league will have the option to test their mettle against the grunts of the competitive league at the tournament.

KAN JAM

Are any of you Ultimate Frisbee enthusiasts familiar with the frisbee game called KAN JAM. I was introduced to it 2 years ago. It is a blast. Winter League

Soon the trees will have no leaves left on them, the wind will be chapping our lips, and the cold air will be chilling our bones. As the winter season sets upon us, we can't help but do two things: complain about ODOT's terrible job and play Winter League!

The plans for Winter League are coming to a wrap-up. The facility has been chosen, the registration is getting ready for activity, and we know that our email box is just waiting to start delivering you all of the trash-talking forum postings (provided that you want them)!

So keep tabs on your email and the web sites for when registration will be opening and when you can access the details about the league!
